A Curiously Unsweet Chocolate Milk: Danish Cocio

The folks at Cocio USA sent me several bottles of their one and only chocolate milk. The drink, which hails from Denmark, contains only three ingredients: milk, cocoa, and sugar. It’s not made from just any three ingredients, though. Their cocoa is freshly Dutch-processed and their milk comes from hormone- and antibiotic-free Danish cows. Mango Nectar of the Gods

Now here’s a drink that truly tastes like someone stuck a straw into a fresh, ripe mango, and then somehow made it taste five times better than that alone. This nectar is one of my top drinks of all time, and now the company is adding to their flavor collection. There’s new Mango Banana and Strawberry Banana. Instant smoothies. Few other nectars compare. Goya? Jumex? Forget about them entirely. There are some great nectars out there, and MIRA is one of them. The others taste like watered-down juice, not...

Brilliance in a Bottle--A New Asian Drink Sensation: Marble Pop

As day one of the 2008 Summer Fancy Foods Show drew to a close, one thing stood out in my mind: Marble Pop. Marble Pop is a brilliant product that I can’t keep out of my mind. This drink is so darn inventive, I just had to write about it. The carbonated beverage features a marble “cap” that actually keeps the drink fresh. It’s held in place by the bottle’s carbonation, and only...
